New Products

What’s new in other departments?

Well, our housewares department has so many new items it will take two blogs just to list them. I’ve been busy at the trade shows buying lots of new and fun stuff. We have a new line of ceramic bowls and plates from Wachtersbach USA. (hard name to spell and pronounce) They have a superb line of ceramics with colors that reach our grab you and say, display me! You’ll not want to stuff these in a cupboard. They’re so vibrant, and fun that you’ll want these out for all to see.

We have a bunch of new utensils from Chef’n. These too are full of vibrant and fun colors and have great functionality. Most all are made with silicone, which is so nice to work with. They have a great grip, withstand high temps and don’t stick. Check them out!

We have new canister sets in stock. These are nicely priced, good sealing canisters in acrylic and stainless. Available in sets and some individually. We’ve been shy on canisters for awhile; it’s nice to have some new variety back in stock.

We have many new clocks in stock. It’s about time, or they’re about time, more to the point. Lots of variety from small to huge.

Rubbermaid has come out with many new colors of your basic household sink items. Granted, these are not exactly flashy, high-tech or cutting edge items, but now sinkware accessories are available in colors to coordinate with your granite and bronze kitchens. Rubbermaid has a slick new line of food storage containers that we’ve also got on the shelf just waiting for you.

We have many fun gift ideas for you as well. Good spring-themed gifts for the gardener, for the hostess, for a friend. We’ve got mugs as well. Just put a big new display of fun mugs that make great gifts. Need a hammer shaped like a high-heel shoe; we’ve got ‘em. Yes, we’ve got darn-near everything!

Our assortment of drawer knobs and cabinet pulls is about to grow leaps and bounds. They just arrived today, so give us a week or two to get them all out, and then come see a much better line than we’ve ever had.

We’ve just got a bunch of new Stanley Tripod flashlights in stock. These were one of the hottest items of last year, and they’ve expanded the line nicely. They’re all LED technology, great values and are really nice flashlights.

Check out Mike’s new line of targets as well. He’s expanded his line of Shoot-N-See targets, my favorite targets to plink away at.

That’s all I can remember just off the top of my head. Many new items are arriving each week, so if you haven’t been in for awhile, come see us again!

What’s new in Lawn & Garden? Well it’s mower time again. Last Sunday my neighbor and I were doing our best “She’s Having a Baby”, Kevin Bacon synchronized mowing demonstration. Yes it was nearly as comical as the scene from that movie. But it also means one thing, spring is definitely here. I held off mowing until spring this year, and held off until April. If you’ve held off because you have a lousy old mower, then you need to come see us. We have a great line of Toro mowers, and we’ve added Lawnboy mowers as well this year.

Toro makes a great mower, no doubt about it. We’ve sold them for years and have many happy customers with Toro mowers. Their recycler line is a really nice, and surprising affordable line of mowers. Good quality engines, Personal Pace ™ self-propelled, wonderful mulching, easy bagging, very reliable, what more could you need?

I must admit with Toro I thought we had all we needed. That was true until I saw the new Lawnboy Insight ™ mower line. They are quite similar in many ways to the Toro, after all, both are owned together. Lawnboys just have a lot of really nice features to them. The Lawnboy bagging system is really top notch, super easy to get the bag on and off, and easy for the mower to fill. Their top notch mower features a Honda engine, a superb feature alone, yet it also has many other really nice ideas built in to it. The one I like best is the handle that folds straight up vertically. This means that storing the mower in your garage now takes up no more room than the mower deck itself. It also makes it that much easier to take the bag off, and put it back on. The top of the handle has a separate adjustment that enables a shorter or taller than average person to adjust the comfort level right where they want it. Most importantly, these are not you father’s Lawnboy. They’re not the old two-cycle, front discharge, funky side bagging mowers of old. Lawnboy has really made a top-notch nice quality mower. Come see for yourself!

We’ve got our new line-up of fountains in stock and running as well. Some of the same old favorites are joined by new styles that are fun outdoor garden centerpieces, and you’ll like our prices as well.

We have a new line of hats in stock, just in time to keep the sun from burning your head a face as you’re heading out to the garden. Many new styles are available for the guys and for the ladies.

Get out in your yard, get your projects going, and come see us for help, advice, ideas, and the right stuff.

Today is the day of the unveiling of our big paint news! As of today we are Loveland’s newest Benjamin Moore Paint dealer. Yes, you can now come in and see our line of Benjamin Moore’s top quality, superior paints. As I type the guys are loading our shelves with Benjamin Moore Regal interior and Moorelife, Mooreguard & Mooreglo exterior paint. (Note that I’m typing while they’re lifting heavy cases of paint!)

The extension of our Ace Paint line now provides you with two of the best paints money can buy. Yes, we’re keeping all of our Ace Paint, and yes it’s still great paint. What our goal is here is to give you the choices you want and the best paint that we can offer. Benjamin Moore paint is excellent quality, and has been an industry leader for many, many years. We can now offer you more choices, and more colors.

Benjamin Moore is all about color. They offer a color palette that is one of the most diverse around. Combine that with our Ace colors, and the ability to match your colors on our color computer and we can literally match any color in any rainbow.

We have attended Benjamin Moore’s training and have all learned much. We were all very impressed with the history of Benjamin Moore as well as the quality control that goes in to their paint. Their research and development of quality paint is second to none. Benjamin Moore manufactures all their own tints from scratch to assure the best quality in colors, coverage and durability. Their field staff is extremely knowledgeable, and will be giving us ongoing training as we become more and more familiar with their products.

The only down side to this is that our color chip rack will not be here until next week. So some see us, we can mix Benjamin Moore paint right away, and in a week, we’ll have a multitude of new colors to choose from.

We’re really excited about this, and hope that you’ll come see us for all your painting needs this spring!

It’s only a few days away, the announcement of our big paint news. The new stuff is piling up in the back rooms, we’re busily making room for it on the sales floor, and we’re getting excited about it. One week from today the news will break, so be certain to stay tuned!

New foods coming in from three Colorado food makers that are new to us! We have carried primarily Colorado gourmet foods for several years and we think that you will really like our new additions!
From Rocky Mountain Peanut Butter comes three new flavors of, well, what else, peanut butter! They are all natural and made in Durango. Their Original is a really good tasting basic peanut butter. Their Honey Cinnamon is a sweeter, tasty combination of flavors that will add fun to anything you normally put peanut butter on. Kids will love it! My favorite of theirs is the Western Zest peanut butter. It has chili powder in it in just the right amount for a unique tasty kick!
From San Juan Mountain Mustard comes, well, you guessed it gourmet mustards. Honey Dill, Caliente Cream, Maple Horseradish, Cherry Habenero and Honey Chipotle round out their line, also made in Durango. They’re all tasty and will add great new flavors to your cooking. Wide Azz Wrench

The picture above is of one of our new products, the Wide Azz wrench, by Channellock. Okay, I’m going to try and not get in to the multiple possibilities of jokes about the name of the wrnech. I’m just going to say that Channellock has really gotten clever by naming this wrench the Wide Azz!

Why would you want this? It’s jaws open up over 1-1/2″ to accomodate those large nuts or bolts that you cannot get a standard adjustable wrench on. Yet the handle is not so long that it gets in the way. I see this as very helpful in plumbing, automotive and general mechanical work. I know I’ve run in to problems before of not being able to get an adjustable wrench to open wide enough. So you grab the next size or two larger wrench and it is too long to turn. Now you could blame this on engineers, or manufacturers, but why bother. Just get yourself a Wide Azz wrench and solve the problem yourself. Better yet, they’re made by Channellock, so you know the quality is good!

Yes, we’ve got every wrench you could need. Even one to fit your Wide Azz problems. Okay, sorry for being a wise azz!
