For the past week the geese have really been flying in formation (standard V, not a diamond, or attack six, or anything that the Blue Angels can fly) around my house. Our lake is damn near a desert this summer, so I cannot imagine they’re too much attracted to the water. Go figure why they’re there. They’ve mostly been flying in sqaudrons of 6-20, nice and low. Right around 12 Gauge range!

Seems early for them to be flying, but I’m no gooseologist. Perhaps they’re just on summer vacation. What I do know is it makes me want a nice new Benelli shotgun. I haven’t had the pleasure of owning one yet, and everytime Mike gets some new shotguns in, or I watch the video of the Benellis I think, damn I got to own one of these. I’ve seldom shot a shotgun that is so damn fun to shoot. I’ve shot a few Benelli models and have been very impressed with them.

Hmm… Perhaps someone had better warn the geese, just to be fair.
