We just got in some beautiful #1 Rugers. Lipseys (one of my distubutors) has been doing special runs of stainless/wood 1A’s the past 3 years as a Shot Show Special. I missed out on the first year which was 7.62X39mm. Last year was 257 Roberts, cool little cartridge and we sold 12 of them. This year Lipseys said Ruger was fighting them on doing another run of these guns but if they did it would be in 35 Whelen. Well Ruger finally came through and sent Lipseys 127 of them. The first 2 we received had beauitful wood, like the #1’s used to have. In fact I had a list of people waiting on these guns and the first guy I called took both of them. I now have 6 more coming and i bet they wont last long. I always wonder why Ruger and some of these other companies dont do little runs like this, I believe there would be a demand for them. A case hardened #1, or maybe one with a heavy octagon barrel in 45-70. I would have to buy one. I always thought Winchester would have done well with the Low and High Walls in some odd calibers too. I would love to have a High Wall in 225 Winchester, 221 Fireball, or maybe 22 High Power. I reliese there are much better cartridges out there but I just want something different. Maybe someone from Ruger or what used to be Winchester will read this and run with the idea. I doubt it, but that would be cool as long as I get my cut…or maybe a free gun

I want one in 416 Rigby with a matte black action, stainless barrel, matte black barrel band and sites, gorgeous english walnut, and a checkered steel grip cap. A tastefully engraved cape buffalo on the side would be ok as well. Oh yea… and keep it around $700 please
