The Waspinator
Posted by Clark under General
Wasp season is here. They’re coming out from everywhere and they’re annoying as ever. Now I’ve done a bit of research and I can’t find too many good reasons for wasps. I’m certain some flying bug-oligist will disagree with me on this, as may the environmental hardliners. But come-on, when’s the last time a wasp did something good for you? I’ve been stung twice in the past two years, so maybe e I’m just a little bitter, buy I see it as us against them.
Â
So what do I use in my combat against them? Ace Wasp & Hornet spray stock number 72676. Yes, I have that number memorized, as it is our second best selling item in the store. Yes, we go through hundreds of cases of it every year, and customers have always been happy with it. It drops wasps out of midair like .50 calibers hitting a Zero. It’s honestly kind of fun, in a weird way. I’ve used lots of bug sprays in my time, but none as effective as this.
Â
We also have really effective traps for wasps. That’s the bright neon-yellow one you may have seen hanging around peoples homes here and there. Their stock number is 74521, I think. They work really well also. Four years ago we had a massive infiltration in the house I was living in. I had two traps in the back yard, each of which caught over 150 wasps in the span of a few weeks.
Â
We had them so bad at the time we eventually had to call a professional exterminator. They were actually living in the walls of our house and would come out from behind plumbing fixtures at all the wrong times, like when you were showering. Just ask my wife, she’ll tell you how much she likes wasps!
Â
So if you’re bugged by these bugs we can help you! Come in now and we’ll show you how you too can be a waspinator!

Actually Clark, those Neon Yellow Traps are specifically for Yellow Jackets wasps and don’t work for paper wasps, mud daubers, and other variations. To catch those pesky critters there are some great homemade traps online. Here’s one: http://www.pestcontrolcanada.com/INSECTS/wasp_traps.htm. These use cola and rotting meat to attract wasps by providing an easier less complicated meal to go after than the one your having out on your deck.

That website is cool Byron, thanks. I am no wasp expert but those yellow ones absolutely FILL with whatever kind it is we have around here. It’s crazy! Biggest problem is that I have dump mine out every couple days cuz it fills up!
