Chuck and I got back from our Kansas turkey hunt Friday and I’ll tell you what if you havent tried it you need too. I have to thank Chuck for taking me, and Dan for letting me use his turkey killing machine AKA Benelli Super Black Eagle. I learned two things on this hunt. First, Im out of shape (I kind of knew that already though haha) and second, hunting with quality guides is a blast. We used Wyatts Outfitters run by Stan and Kirk Wyatt. These guys were great, I cant say enough about how nice they were and how well they know the turkeys. If you have any interest at all go to www.wyattsoutfitters.com. They do Whitetail hunts too, so check them out. I honestly had never seen a wild turkey before and by the end of 3 days I bet I had seen over a 100. It was amazing. If you ever have a chance to go, do it! The Sunday before we left I went down to Colorado Clays and watched Tom Knapp shoot. He puts on a good show for sure. The best part though was I got to shoot all the new Benellis and Franchis before the show. I was really impressed with the new Super Nova, the M2 in 20 gauge, and Franchis I-12. I shot the Benellis side by side with the older guns and the Comfort Tech System does work well on both of these. I may need one or two for myself, especially if I go turkey hunting again!Â
