Another new product we now have in stock in one of the coolest new things I’ve seen in a long time. It is the Oliso Auto Lift steam iron. What’s an Auto Lift iron? It is an iron that automatically lifts itself up off the ironing board, while it is running. What? Well let me explain further.

If you’re like me, you iron a shirt on the day your going to wear it. So I get up, pick a shirt, turn on the iron and start ironing. The iron is steaming away and working great, but then I need to move the shirt around on the board. So I just slide the iron over a bit and leave it sitting there steaming. I don’t tip the iron up and set it on its rest for two reasons. One, I’m barely awake and that requires too much thought. Two, it stops the steaming, and takes too long to start steaming again once I put it down flat to iron again. Besides, it only takes a few seconds.

Okay, yes there are scorch marks on my ironing board pad, because there are indeed times when it takes more than a few seconds. That’s where the Oliso Auto Lift iron comes in. When you take your hand off the iron, little legs comes out of the bottom and raise it up a bit. The steam keeps coming, but the heat doesn’t scorch anything below it.
