Joy oh Joy, Joy’s Is Back!
Posted by Clark under General
Exciting news from our recent Denver trade show: Joy’s Inc is back! Joy’s is a wonderful line of Colorado gourmet foods from Cortez. We have stocked the line for many years and many of you have come to know and love the great line of foods that Joy’s makes. We have been without their foods for several months and are very glad to bring them back in.
Joy’s Inc. is once again being run by the founder, Joy herself. Joy’s has long been a family company. Joy had to take time off to battle cancer for several years and sold the business to her family. They, however, weren’t as passionate about the company and did not run it efficiently. The doors closed, and phones no longer rang as of the end of last year. However Joy is once again healthy and ready to make her foods, so she has taken control of the business and brought it back to life!
We will be stocking Joy’s wonderful jellies including Jalapeno, Habenero, Jalapeno Peach and Chimayo Red jam. Joy’s meat sauces are delicious and we will once again have Gringo Chile and Kona Gold. (Yes, I must admit that when I found out that Joy’s was closed I went down and bought all our remaining stock of Kona Gold sauce. It is my absolute favorite sauce for marinating meat in. Put some chicken in it overnight, bake or grill it, serve a bit of the sauce over rice. Oh my God it is good!) While Joy’s salsas aren’t quite ready once again, her salsa mix is. It’s a wonderful dry mix that makes tons of fresh salsa easily and cheaply.
So come in once again and try Joy’s line of wonderful, flavorful, unique Colorado foods!

I gave my father-in-law a bottle of Joy’s Gringo Chile Sauce for his birthday last year. He lives in Oklahoma and can’t get it there, so he asked for it again for his birthday this year. Apparently he eats it on hot dogs and can’t get enough!
