Not to keep bringing this up, but here’s another good example of people not reading owners manuals. On Car Talk this weekend a man from Denver called up to ask about driving on ice. He said his brakes had a funny feeling. Oh he knew how to drive on ice and snow, all right, he just couldn’t figure out why when he pumped his antilock brakes they didn’t seem to work. Of course the Car Talk guys set him straight and told him how his antilock brakes work. 

            My question is why did he go to the trouble of calling a radio show instead of reading his owners manual? This example could have been very dangerous to himself or someone else, yet he just figured it would be better to ask someone else, instead of finding out for himself.

            Just furthers my question as to why people won’t read their owner manuals and/or instructions?
