My Two Bits for Today
Posted by Clark under General
I have a blog here that really has nothing to do with hardware, but has two things worth mentioning. Yes, there has been a serious lack of hardware blogs here of late. Sorry. I have found it quite hard to squeeze blogs in this time of the year. It is the single busiest time of the year for those of us in retail, and many things seem to get pushed to the back burner, so to say. This is also my first year of blogging during the holidays. Perhaps next year I will be better. I’d also like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has shopped our store this holiday season. We’ve had a very good year, and we could not do it without the support of all our wonderful customers.
So what are my two things? First a sight that I thought I would never see: No waiting, I mean absolutely no waiting at DIA security. Wow is all I can say. We were there Saturday the sixteenth in the evening. My wife had to go down to the concourse to meet her daughter. She walked down to the security check-in and there was absolutely not one person in line. She walked right up to the ID checkers, got right through. No waiting, Amazing.
The second thing is something I find quite refreshing. I am sitting in a local coffee shop right at the moment. I cannot help but over hear parts of a conversation amongst several high school aged kids. They seem to be from a church group and are planning a group activity. They are trying to pick a movie to watch and have agreed on Monty Python and The Holy Grail. In their words, “Dude, that is the funniest movie of all time. Yeah, it’s like my favorite movie.†You know that makes us older folks who grew up watching the same film feel really good. Gives us hope in the future of the world.
Okay two bits of thoughts for today. More hardware talk in the future.

Just my luck… in the airport every week and have never seen an empty security line. Clark manages to do it the one time he’s not flying anywhere.
And btw… I love Monty Python, have since I was 15 yrs old (10yrs ago).
