Dinner in Downtown Loveland
Posted by Clark under General
On Sunday the tenth we had our company Christmas dinner at The Country Junction restaurant in downtown Loveland. There were two really nice things about this. First, of course, it’s great to get everyone from the store all together for a night of fun and feasting. We had a great meal there with great service. If you have not been to The Country Junction, I recommend that you do so. It’s a great place to have a group dinner as well. They have a really nice cozy and warm atmosphere. That’s unlike those restaurants on the moon. (You know, good food, but no atmosphere!) Thanks to Chuck for providing a wonderful night out for all of us. I may go one step further and say that I was invited to another company dinner at a fancy restaurant in Fort Collins. The food was just okay, half our meals were delivered refrigerator cold and had to be sent back. The service was so slow we thought we may have to make it a New Year’s dinner as well. It was fun, none the less, but not near the service we received in good old downtown Loveland.
That brings me to the second good thing about our dinner. We had a hard time finding a place to park. That’s a good thing? Yes it is. That means that there were many people out for dinner on a Sunday night in downtown Loveland. I cannot say that I see that every week. Now a hard time parking meant I had to go around the corner and walk sixty yards instead of parking right in front and walking eight yards. Not a big deal. It was really nice to see Christmas parties at Cipolettis and at The 4th Street Chop House as well. Downtown Loveland has really got some good restaurants that are a splendid break from the chain restaurants that prevail elsewhere. If you haven’t gone out to dinner downtown lately, you need to!

Second this one also… (damn, 3 comments in a row). Our party was more fun than my company Christmas at my other job, by far. Did I mention our company was “black tie optional” and probably cost like $25,000 or better?! What bullshit… wish I had just got a $100 bonus or whatever instead of the money they spent for me to attend, haha.
I higly recommend “Grandma’s Spaghetti” the next time anyone visits The Country Junction. It is the best damn plate of spaghetti in Northern Colorado since the Farmer’s Inn closed and costs all of $8.95.
